Si sono tenuti ieri sera a Los Angeles gli Oscar della Musica americani, i Grammy Awards 2012. A trionfare come previsto alla vigilia è stata Adele, la 23enne londinese ha vinto il premio come miglior disco dell’anno con Rolling In The Deep, miglior album con 21, miglior canzone con Rolling in the Deep, miglior performance pop con Someone Like You, Miglior Album Pop con 21, Miglior Video.
Omaggio a Whitney Houston e Amy Winehouse. Ad aprire la serata presentati da LL Cool J, sono stati Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band che si sono esibiti in We Take Care of Our Own, il nuovo singolo, dedicandolo a Whitney Houston scomparsa ieri notte, che nel 1986, a 23 anni, proprio sul palco dei Grammy sarebbe diventata la regina del pop e del soul. Durante la cerimonia, la cantante e attrice Jennifer Hudson ha cantato la famosa canzone I Will Always Love You commuovendo la platea. Ma non solo Whitney. Anche Amy Winehouse, morta il 23 luglio 2011, è stata ricordata durante la serata, vincendo Miglior Performance Pop/Duo con la canzone Body And Soul, cantata accanto a Tony Bennett.
Altri vincitori. Pieno di statuette anche per un gruppo rock come i Foo Fighters, la band di Dave Grohl si è aggiuddicata i 4 premi più importanti delle categorie rock: Miglior Perfomance Rock, Miglior Performance Rock Metal, Miglior Canzone Rock e Miglior Album Rock. Kanye West trionfa nel rap con il premio come miglior album e miglior collaborazione, con Jay-Z. Due premi anche per Taylor Swift: miglior performance e miglior canzone country.
